MIDEA GROUP JOINS CONNECTIVITY STANDARDS ALLIANCE’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The smart home appliances giant secures seat in the core team developing Matter and to advocate for universal connectivity standards within the industry of smart connected appliances

As many companies continuously strive to advance and develop cutting edge technological offerings, a number are realizing the invaluable benefits of allowing compatibility between connected devices and smart home appliances. Midea Group is proud to announce that it has joined the Connectivity Standards Alliance (the Alliance), becoming a new member of its Board of Directors, focused on positively impacting consumers through seamless technology. As part of this, Midea Group is an advocate for other companies and brands to show support for and integration with Matter, the Alliance’s protocol that allows disparate IoT devices and smart home appliances to intercommunicate seamlessly.

Matter is the Alliance’s promise of simplified, reliable, and secure connectivity, a new industry-unifying standard of interoperability in smart home and commercial technology. As a board member of the Aliance, Midea Group will be leading the collaboration to transform the future of seamless connectivity in the consumer electronics and smart home appliance industry. The protocol is currently being validated by member companies at eight authorized test labs in 16 locations across nine countries around the world.
